ANN ARBOR, Mich., August 23, 2017 – Medical Advantage Group has appointed Darline El Reda, DrPH, MPH, as Director of Analytics. In this role, she leads her team to mine clinical and payer data, and produce actionable insights and recommendations for how clients can improve the quality and efficiency of care they provide for patients.

El Reda has held a variety of roles in public health for The Centers for Disease Control, The Michigan Department of Community Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) of Michigan, and Michigan State University. While working for BCBS Michigan, El Reda helped develop the methodology for Patient-Centered Medical Home designation and led the analytics that supported a variety of pay-for-performance initiatives.
“My goal with Medical Advantage Group’s analytics program is to provide our clients with solid analytics, along with insight to those analytics,” El Reda said. “We can use this information to help medical practices, physician groups, health plans, and health systems identify where to focus their resources to achieve success.”
El Reda earned her bachelor of science degree in biology from Syracuse University, a master’s in public heath from California State University, Long Beach, and a doctorate in public health in epidemiology, biostatistics, and program evaluation from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She spent the last two years in Kuwait developing a first-time bachelor’s degree public health program for Kuwait University.
